She Was 'Grumpy' in 1938 on a Float in the Grand Floral Parade

I was 'Grumpy' -- one of the seven dwarfs -- who participated in the Grand Floral Parade of 1938.

I've saved a photo of myself in the Grumpy costume -- and an article from The Oregonian. The article reads:

"Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was the theme of the Pepco entry, which took first prize in the public utilities and transportation section..."

I was sent a boquet of flowers from Tommy Luke in appreciation. I still have the accompanying card written by Charles Osborne of P.E.P. Co.

I must have been on the same float as Peggy Phillips [see Peggy's memory HERE], but I was only four years old at the time, so I don't recall for certain.

Though my memories aren't entirely clear, I do remember the lasting impression of a very important event in my life.
